Dear Naughty America Affiliates,

This post is to inform you of our new Director of Affiliates Joe Johnson. He'll be posting here himself as he gets to know all of you and builds up his post count. As always I'll be available for any questions or help in marketing Naughty America. Please help me welcome Joe and read what he has to say:

I am Joe Johnson, the newly appointed Director of Affiliates for Naughty America.

I am very excited to be a part of the Naughty America Affiliate Team! From its humble beginnings to where it is today, Naughty America has grown into a front runner with its unique and playfully sexy content. Although the content sells itself I understand it obviously can’t do so without the exposure that you provide. With a sales and customer service background, I understand that I am working for you to make your relationship with Naughty America long and profitable. One you can rely on and regain trust and confidence by returning to the industry standard of affiliate relations and customer service.
To get Naughty America back to a strong stance with the affiliate market, we are making some drastic changes, changes you will welcome because they will help build a long future with stable growth. To build that future we will use trusted and familiar programs that have become industry standards for accurately tracking your sales.

• Naughty America is switching to the NATS affiliate solution. NATS is the trusted industry standard in tracking hits and sales. You will now have confidence in a tried and true application that is easy to understand and operate.

• We offer all the expected affiliate tools and try to stay fresh with market trends by offering our content on innovative platforms; Weekly FHGs, banners, direct model linking, custom affiliate templates, as well as tube clips, iframes, direct model sites, and soon to come, fully dynamic flash embeds. We will take the time to customize and personalize your affiliate tools to help conversions.

• Revenue Sharing has proven to be the business model we want to share with our affiliates. Given our high retention rates, this business model builds trust and mutual forward growth. Naughty America will be discontinuing the Pay Per Sign Up model due to its attraction to fraud.

• We will be offering checks for US and Canadian affiliates and wire transfers for international affiliates, as method of payment. If you wish to receive a wire, please contact your bank and get the proper information from a knowledgeable bank employee that understands wire transfer parameters. Epassporte is no longer a payment option. We will find a better solution that is more secure. All wire costs and international shipping will be absorbed by the affiliate.

I remember telling you years ago that I thought they were using a custom form of NATS because some of the features they had looked exactly like NATS (like the sales totals in one area & the dollar amounts in another - also the dollar amounts being the transaction total & not your cut, which was displayed underneath)

Me thinks DDave has been using NATS all along

Their stats can't be any worse than how they used to be displayed, I'll take the default nats stats over the pile of crap they used to display any day.

Was NATS implemeted on Tuesday the 15th? Since then, NA reported clicks have plunged about 90%, while traffic to my site (according to AWStats) and reports from other sponsors have both remained steady.

Anyone else see a problem in their accounts or is it just me?

I know there's a couple of options as far as how the stats are displayed in NATS, but why would anyone choose the one where the clciks & sales are in one table & the money is in a 2nd table underneath the 1st? These are numbers that really need to be on the same fucking line!

I also see that they fucking turned off the stats_detailed.php trick to get around this annoying problem

THIS IS ONE REASON WHY PEOPLE HATE NATS - PROGRAM OWNERS THAT THINK BELLS AND WHISTLES AND ADVANCED OPTIONS ARE HELPFUL WHEN IN REALITY THAT MAKE THINGS MUCH WORSE!!!

(I also hate people that post announcements & never come back to see if anyone had a comment)

That's called spin. Or maybe it's called a distraction. I'm not sure, but affiliates don't really care who the affiliate manager is unless they've personally met them or dealt with them in the past. We just care that he can do his job when we have a question.

The BIG thing in this announcement is NATS - it's massive as far as NA is concerned because this it the 3rd affiliate admin for NA this year. (it's the 4th in the last 3 years & IMHO the move to whatever admin was used in Oct 2005 was a mess as well)

Maybe Joe can stop by & answer a few questions for us?

Now, it all makes sense. I was originally looking at the es subdomain. I wasn't aware that the stats from NATS were moved over to a new stats subdomain. Thanks guys.

Y'know, given all the other BS that's gone on at NA over the last year or so I'm not so sure these guys have enough insight to formulate such an idea.

I have a hunch that the all they are looking at is the fees associated with each payout and how to reduce those, without any regard to the side effects of their solution and whether that will actually cost them more.

The content is great, but management is clueless.

To me it does not matter what they change. They have NEVER paid my on time and paid me whatever they wanted rather than the amount owed. Their support fucking sucks, those two girls who work there remind me of "Dumb and Dumber".

First off, I deserve the shit being thrown in my direction as I should have been here a long time ago. When I was appointed this position it didn't exactly come with a hand book to be thrown into the fire with.

You could call it backtracking or you could call it squeaky wheelS get the grease. We didn't think the response would be that adverse. We also did a bunch of reports showing what affiliates make here.

We had affiliates asked for theirs to be raised and thought we would check it out for all. It wasn't well received and I'm listening. We set it at $100.
