I think you've confused when the cookie life went to 1 hour. When Meatcash switched to Nats (11/2006) they reduced their cookie life.

So this was way prior to Dee's purchase of the program.

actually, we did this because of the pressure and standards of cookie length in programs that are predominatly PPS not revshare.

as for solutions that prompt more joins and rebills

discounted rebill retry ( on rebill deny )
discounted membership offers on cancel ( live support or cancel page )
24/7 support for all members ( offer free months on other networks, discounts, bonuses, or if nescessary full refunds )

as for cookies, you can't please everyone.

I will be looking into Meatcash, and had someone told me about this prior, we'd have looked at it earlier.

So it's a 1 hour cookie and not a 24 hour cookie.

In some cases i bet such things as reducing cookie life might explain at least partially why many affiliates claim that a nats switchover hurts them. Hmmm

I checked a few nats sponsors of mine and found most had it set to the default ten days.

1 hour is pretty crazy.
