I may head up to the local college today to get more information about their 4 year degree programs since I'm beginning to realize that I'll eventually need to begin some sort of career and prefer that it doesn't involve a shovel or wearing steel toe boots. My wife told me that I'm having a mid-life crisis though she agrees that it's an excellent idea. It occurred to me that I have a daughter who will be starting college in just over four years, then a son who will follow her four years later. They are both very bright and I don't want them to start off in the hole, not being able to go at all, or suffering the same fate as their father; sitting here wondering why I stopped after getting an associates degree in the highly lucrative field of Liberal Arts. Not to mention, the concept of retiring some day really appeals to me.

My biggest problem is that at 38 years-old nothing really stands out as THE career or field of study for me. I've jabbered about teaching for years, and that does have a modicum of appeal to me, but I wouldn't say that I'm jumping for joy at the prospect of it. Also, it's far easier to get a teaching job in math or science, but those are two areas that I wish to avoid.

Who ever says that you'll know what you want to do when you grow up is full of shit.

Oh, good morning.

That's for sure! I'm 48 and I've been an accountant, stay-at-home Dad and web designer/programmer (so far). Whatever you decide, don't just go for the money. (Of course, I can say that because my wife makes most of the money in our house.) Make sure you really love what you're doing.

I am feeling good about my new site, knowing of course that building it is 1% of the effort. Well, I've done my work for the day and I am now on to do a boat load of family stuff.

Have a great day everyone!

That's the same situation in my house. My wife has been making a lot more than me for many, many years. And being that the reason I work from is primarily due to my inability to be remain happy at any of my previous jobs, it's pretty important to find something that I'm certain to enjoy. (which doesn't seem likely )

MILF inspector?

Seriously, go take some classes & maybe you'll remember a subject that you really enjoy and can lead to a nice well paying job sometime in the future.

I think I'm going to have 2 kids sick at home instead of just 1 today. So I'll be playing nurse and trying to get some work done.

Morning..
I took most of yesterday off.. my eyes have really been bothering me lately and I'm being forced to schedule a Dr. appointment. I'm not sure if it is stress related because I had to continue a project that should have been passed off to someone who 1) never took authorship of it 2) doesn't really comprehend the elements 3) would rather smoke and |drunk| than pay attention to making $$. Either way I'm stuck with it and using my eye issues as to not working on it.

Anyway.. Go back to school, UW..even just 1 class in oh say pottery will get you back in the swing of going to school. It's never too late.

I have to drag the RugDawg to breakfast this morning. We'll be raising a cuppa cocoa in honor of MML.

Have a good one..make some $$$

I like making porn sites. I am just not very successful at it or I just give up too easily.
