Good morning world
![]() And not a bad afternoon so far either. Planning to work through most of the day while some Italian sauce slowly comes together in a pot on the stove. Some ground meats, egg and bread crumbs will go together for meatballs later in the afternoon. Then it's just pasta and a salad to do at the end. Ramones' Rockaway Beach providing musical encouragement. Not bad at all so far. Remember - tonight and tomorrow night don't forget to stay up after midnight to catch the Perseid Meteor Showers. ![]() Perseids Comet of Origin: 109P/Swift-Tuttle Radiant: constellation Perseus Peak Activity: Aug. 12-13, 2010 Peak Activity Meteor Count: Approximately 50 meteors per hour Time of Optimal Viewing: Crescent moon will set early in the evening, allowing for dark skies all the way up until peak viewing just before dawn Note: The Perseid meteor shower is one of the most consistent performers and considered by many as 2010's best shower. The meteors they produce are among the brightest of all meteor showers.
