Umm, if they are "whales with traffic" then they will already be over exposed and hard to sell. Also, if they are already "whales with traffic" why did they start a program? I mean they don't need to give 50% of their profits to other webmasters if they already have plenty of traffic coming in. So the only reason to set up a program is if they are hard to convert. If I were you I'd check out plenty of other sponsors before committing too much of your traffic to that program - from your description they don't sound too good.
