Coming home on the train this evening, a black kid of about twenty (yeah, 20 is "a kid" as far as I'm concerned, I'm old alright!) got on playing reggae music loud. I made the mistake of making eye contact, which was what he wanted. Not to cause trouble, but to tell me the music was "his band", show me a poster for their next concert, give me a free copy of their latest CD, then solicit a donation for the "free" CD. I gave him a few quid, but I did not point out that his CD was somewhat out of date on account of the fact that the third track was "Free Nelson Mandela".

The Return Of 
Puppy News
My friend is off to Vienna for a couple of days from tomorrow, to see an opera. And I'll be looking after his penthouse/dogs/cats while he is away. So on Sunday for one, possibly two, days you will see the brief return of Puppy News.
