The "What Are You Working On?" Thread - Week Ending August 8th 2015

I've been working on mostly non-porn stuff, like filling out forms, putting crap on my eBay (any Nirvana fans around here?) as well as promoting my American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's annual Out Of The Darkness Walk page

But I've been thinking that I should try to get some of my other Link Lists back up & running, so I might start on Chubby Links this week.

...and I've been updating LOR - still kinda amazed I'm updating pretty much every day

This week I will mostly be doing the work I should have been doing last week but didn't because of the ****ing ISP and FTP problems I had last week!

Lots of offline stuff the last few days have kept me from doing anything major aside from updating LOR, but I did manage to come up with this idea yesterday that no one will ever participate in

I need to do more blogging to build organic traffic, but I only feel creative during a short window...while I'm at work. Yesterday, I downloaded members area photos to my phone, then uploaded them to one of my sites and wrote a post from work, on my damn phone. On my damn phone!

I did try but I had problems narrowing the 60s to just one band. Then when I got up to the 1990's I realised that the only bands I liked from then on were older bands who were still going, and there was no one on my favourites list who started after the early 1980s

But sadly I could go earlier and add bands from the 1950s and 1940s !

My latest site built in Wordpress got mostly finished last night. I think it must be the most image free site that I've ever created for someone.

I'm getting $450 for a simple site done in Wordpress. Graphics are extra.

Discovered that I had forgotten to put a link to the Press Release site on my Affiliates site. Stupid mistake, the press release site has more content on it for affiliates wanting to write articles to get sales, so kind of very important to make money!

Just had to recode a few of the pages that had a 400 px margin as that did work on Android phones. Had to use a bunch of columns instead to setup a wide margin.

That is close to what I charge for 4 html pages. I also charge $100 for a yearly hosting and every change or later modifications are extra.
I did a lot full flash websites for approx $1000 - $1500 for a complete setup. But now flash is going away. It was a gold mine 2-3 years ago.

I was getting $120 a year for hosting and still have some hosting accounts, but they are more trouble than they are worth. Plus Godaddy and other similar hosts are getting only $60 a year so people are going with the cheaper option.

I like building in Wordpress. It's quick and easy now that I've gotten good at it, plus the sites are responsive without having to do anything extra.

I have been buying old, recently dropped, niche domains to put blogs on to build organic traffic. I grabbed a nice PR3 domain for 10 bucks. Guess what! It's banned by Google. Another one, which I thought was kind of lame, is already sending a trickle of traffic to the paysite after a week of having it, even though it has only two posts, both of which are galleries. Weird, unpredictable results.
