Good morning all

I tried to use my epass virtual visa card to make an online purchase a while ago and it was declined so I paid for it with another card and sent epass an email about the problem. With everything that has been going on I just got back to check the messages to find out why it was declined and this was the message they sent me back.

"In regards to your concern, please be informed that we have disabled ePpurchase capabilities for certain merchants (PAYPAL) that use ePassporte as a payment option. This may affect the transactions you normally make with your ePassporte Account. Please be informed that you cannot use or add your ePassporte Visa Virtual Card with Paypal. However, you may still use your Visa Virtual card to make purchases online with internet retailers that accept Visa or Visa Plus. "

That has got to be one of the dumbest moves I have ever seen as the majority of online sales are completed with paypal. Hell even if the seller does use visa or visa plus, the actual merchant behind the transaction is paypal in many cases.

I emailed epass back asking for the option to be reinstated but I suppose it will be a cold day in hell before that happens. That kind of makes epass useless to me as I used it to make all of my online payments
