Direct to the join is tough in today's market IMO unless you are really selling the surfer yourself or maybe from a ppc search engine.
Otherwise a tour is wise with a trial option of some kind. The only time a trial is not needed might be on a niche site that is not all that easy to find. I promote one where my income went up when they dropped the trial. (recurring sponsor obviously) |
