LOL I didn't want to say anything but the acceptance e-mail was for a site I didn't remember. I checked my server and the site was uploaded July 5, 2005...

Yep, I've received some acceptance mails for sites submitted well over a year ago. He does have a huge backlog...

But, as Ponygirl and Gary mentioned...the traffic is solid when it comes and it's a nice bump to old sites. Certainly well worth submitting imho

!!! Just when you think your freesite can't make you any more $$$ ...along comes that acceptance letter and FPS truely GOLDEN traffic and wham you are back in the bucks.

surely nice traffic but don't you think that by the time the freesite get listed, the promoted sponsor may lost its freshness a little bit?

I suppose that all depends on the sponsor site.

I do know that I frequently pick up sales on old free sites in the days following those long delayed acceptance mails. Sure the sales could have some from another source.

But as a counterpoint to your statement, those sales could also be from that fresh infusion of traffic...seeing a site that maybe hasn't been promoted in a while.

If you're concerned about that, just change the sponsor. I don't delete sites for that. Of course you'd have to consider the other sites in your recip table, but most link lists don't ban for site changes as long as the sites still follows the rules.
