I figure a promoted site could lose it's freshness but could also grow and offer much more to the surfer than when you originally built the freesite.
I have to remember to be careful regarding advertising special sponsor promotions on freesites. For example I built quite a few freesites promoting I'm Live when they were giving away 2 free minutes of video chat with every new membership. When that offer stopped my freesites were lying to the surfer which must be a bad thing. I had to go back and change a load of ads which was rather unpleasant. I think I missed a few actually....must check sometime.  I'm with the others on this, that "late" traffic is very nice. Sultan's Porn is anothr LL that's a bit behind, but getting those acceptance emails four or five months later and seeing the traffic is great!  |
