I'd like to add that being Canadian we are allowed to Cuba and I know TONS of people that have gone and totally loved it saying it is a great place. My neighbors are going this month again.
BUT they (as do most visitors do) stay at one of the all-inclusive resorts and do not leave the resort. They've been told outside of the resort is a shithole and not safe. hehe |

Yikes! That was quite a story! I have never had a desire to go to Cuba and after reading that I really don't. Glad you made it out of there

Not sure why but I always thought Cuba was the way you described. Goons walking around with guns, street hawkers trying to get your greenbacks, everyone on the take, etc.
