One thing I find interesting. The Canadien immigration site had so many hundred thousand hits the moment Bush was re-elected. At the same time, Bush is known to be very easy on immigration.

This is going to have massive implications for your labor market. It's called insourcing. You bring people into the US who are willing to work for FAR LESS than the average American. So the average wage declines. At the same time, high-earning citizens are skipping the country. Cheap labor will obviously effect spending. The response might be to enforce minimum wages which, in turn, will lead to higher unemployment. And so on and so on....
