It seems that alot of the more recent link lists still have the same rule text, but have apparently expanded it to mean no more than 3 links *period*.

Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't realized I had similar wording on my own LL rules until you mentioned it. I'm going to update that to mean no more than 3 links total.

I'm pretty sure that most of the other LL also mean 3 total or at least that's what I take the rule to mean.
