I love the AVS model, but when you take away (or greatly diminish) the upsells, you might as well just build free sites that sell the sponsors directly.
I'm not buying the whole "exposing members to the great bonus content will boost retention" theory. Good paysites have higher quantity & quality of content, so why make 'em jump through the hoops?  |
