I agree, the owners are in the business to make $, and when the league is losing $ but still players want $30+ million I think that is just stupid....

But it still is no where near as bad as baseball, there is a sport that needs to close up shop and move on, it is disgusting what they are paying players who are average if anything, and even the “golden boys” are making too damn much, and the idea that the Yanks can “buy the championship” is just wrong when teams like Pitt spend less then 25% on their entire payroll then the Yanks do. I read last year that the Yanks made less then $500k in profits, due to the payroll.

But I think this will kill the NHL, which bothers me more since it has been around for so long, there is no way a strike will save it, the Americans already could care less for the most part, so why annoy them that much more?
