Is This Really "Art"?

I LOVE this:

"Each separate "gate" would be merely a relic of the artwork and not a work of art. Seven thousand, five hundred structures together in Central Park IS a work of art."

So...my shower curtain on its own is not a work of art, but if I got together 7500 shower curtains & strung 'em up in Central Park, that would be genius. I'm off to Ikea!

Following this to the end - A corn field would be work of art. (not a single plant, but millions of them)
So then Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, the whole rural country sides are all works of art?

It's simply trash. NYC may see things differently.

I have a friend whose apartment bldg overlooks Central park..and she said.. it's like a stack of dominos and everytime she walks to her elevator she wants to reach out and hit one to see if they'd all fall down.
