Gone Tomorrow Morning

As most of you know, I am a disabled veteran. Well, the VA wants to give me a physical tomorrow morning. They used to do it every few months but, it has been about 15 years since the last time. I guess they want to see if I am better so they can get off the hook.

I've always considered myself to be a disabled veteran. Once you get used to working for people who are all armed, it becomes difficult to take unarmed employers seriously. I think that's where my lack of motivation comes from.

They say they want to do a complete physical but they propably just want to look at my knees. They have only gotten worse since 1981 so, I don't think the VA is going to change anything. If anything, they will up my percentage another 10%. I am 20% away from the magic 50...so, my fingers are crossed. 50% is when all the good things kick in

He only looked at my knees and told me I had to go back for a physical with a different Doctor. I guess he was just the knee guy

He did say they are a lot worse since the last time I was there...about 15 years ago. So, I just might get a big fat increase in my monthly checks.

No, I do have really bad knees. I have had surgery twice on the left and 3 times on the right. Certain things I can't do...no jumping jacks

no golf (I twist just the wrong way), no kneeling. I probably could kneel if I didn't have a screw sticking out just below my kneecap

I had screws sticking out of my thumb after I got shot. After about a month they were driving me crazy and I unscrewed them. The doctor was pretty upset with me. lol

Not quite that old. I hardly even remember the war

It happened during training just after I got to my permanent station. I was airborne and during the first night jump, the lights on the field went out. I hit not knowing where the ground was.
