How much traffic does 1 blog really generate ?

Some of the people I talk to about blogging are getting 50 hits a day.

Some have broken 2k.

Some of the major adult blogs out there are getting 20k.

These are uniques, not page views

I know of a blogger who icq'd me last night to tell me his 2 week old blog had gotten 50 google hits that day.

Like swedguy said its impossible but ultimately the traffic can be there. But its not a simple formula.

It can depend on who You set your blog up with also, I played with one last month....on tblog...posted it and got 1300 hits the first 24 hours because they put all new blogs on their page so everyone checks it out...to bad i was just fuckin around cause nothing was on it....now it has had 3100 visits since than and I don't really do anything with it.....I guess if You build a shit pile of blogs even 25 a day to each can add up.........they are quick to get SE listings

My blog is just a little more than 2weeks old now and google is sending me about 100 hits per day, 1 of my other blogs which is about 3 days old is getting 30-40 from yahoo per day(im shocked at this one). so in total after 2 weeks of building im upto about 250-300 uniques per day and its climbing steadily. If you keep working at it and keep building/submitting to directores and trading links your traffic will grow! is just a matter of persistance and patience.

Also there are a few blogs that are getting around 50k unique per day, hopefully i can make that mark if I keep at it.
