Right now I'm removing pictures from my domain. Basically just the Flashcash sites and they are re-directing to my home page. I still need to do a lot more work to get rid of the nekid peoples, but it's a start.

Question: Instead of just causing a 404, I'd appreciate opinion on whether this would be OK:

Leave the front warning page of the free sites up as long as they don't have any non-compliant images on them, leave the recip tables in place, but close the "enter" link and change it to a short message to surfers and LL's and show link to my sponsor's site?

With galleries, I'm thinking I'd just replace them with a page that explains to surfers and TGPs why the page is unavailable, retain the links to the recip partners, and have a link to sponsor page.

Would that be acceptable to LL and TGPs instead of causing a 404 error?

Well they will still get deleted from linklists I would assume, I know I would/will. And if its blacklisting you are worried about most of us arent doing it for a couple of months with 404's.

Rather than lose my search engine traffic and 404 the pages, I will only be pulling images, so If i'm listed at your LL, please remove the links for the above domains.

I hope this is acceptable with LL owners, I don't want to piss anyone off, but I don't want to lose the se hits to the freesites either. They can still work for me without images.

I will say that I won't be impressed if I find a front page of a site with a redirecting enter link or missing images.

For me, either the site is up or down. Middle of the road is not a really comfortable place.

Wondering: If somehow the regs get suspended/shot down, can we just re-submit the sites we took down that got flushed out of the LL? I'm just thinking that, once it's ok to have those sites live again, will there be a thread here to re-activate my domains with folks?

I would highly recommend that you don't delete sites yet - but create a kill list and be ready to execute it on June 24th if you feel you need to. Otherwise you may be cutting your income off 14 days too soon.

Wasnt referring to "all" overseas WMs - sorry - and I think that we had already decided among most of the stateside LLs that we wouldnt ban for the sites going 404 (or even 302 for that matter in some cases) - I think GG posted in another thread that basically have turned off the BL for 404s. I agree with Raw Alex - 404's & 302's on the pages that were linking to will not be blacklisted, but if we find a site that appears to still be active, but the internal links are all redirecting, those will go on the blacklist.

Their loss...people that do 404 because they can't get the 2257 info for whatever reasons are the responsible webmasters that wouldn't cheat the system. They're the guys and gals that don't change pages, that follow all the rules, and generally are the people you want submitting. sickkittens - replacing content shouldnt be a big deal as long as its relatively the same type and still meets the LLs rules - although I tend to favor the idea of just 302 or 404 till we know whats going to really happen as it takes a heck of a lot less work (and Im always for that)

as far as the sites where some are and some arent - hopefully they are in their own little subdirectories and you can add a htaccess to 302 or 404 anything below those directories
