While I appreciate smaller hotel bills due to a shorter stay; I have mixed feelings about the overlap. There isn't enough time for everything in the condensed version, and our show is going to end up lost in the shuffle since AEE is certainly more profitable for AVN.
Finally, we will end up overwhelmed with consumer types on our floor, diluting the ROI for booth owners; as well as educating far too many surfers about the backend of our industry.
From my understanding, this will NOT be the case.

The droolers (the public that attends the video show) will not be allowed into the internext show.

So I don't think your concerns are well founded.

Alex - that is also the impression I got when talking with Aly - although the shows will be next to each other with the possibility of an open door between the floors - there would be some security to prevent the non-pass people getting into the Internext show, while still allowing the cross business flow

No credentials are required to purchase a pass. The Vegas show has lots of non-industry types cruising the floor every year anyway. $150 is nothing in Vegas- it's not stopping people from indulging their curiosities, nor is AVN likely to refuse their money.

... and exactly how is this different from any other year? This is one of the reasons many companies don't have open parties anymore, because people were figuring out that for $150, they could "party like pornstars". Probably 1/4 of the people at internext vegas are either not in the business or own a single website / hosted free site / hosted gallery.

Has been like that for years... might actually be better this year because for $25, they can get a drooler pass to the video show and leave us alone.

The bitch of it this year is all three shows are on the same days.....and some of us need to cover all of them. The droolers could always get a $25 pass.
Can't tell you how many times people tried to buy my pass(es).
