Does the ID info need to be in Western Alphabet to comply to 2257?

In most countries across the world the date of birth is written in common western style digits. And I would guess that if you're relying on photos of a typical ID next to the girl's face it should be enough to get a one-off translation of the empty template, as long as the IDs are all the same template - then anybody with an IQ of over 90 can figure out "o.k., this is where the name's written, this is the date of birth" etc.

As they say in Thailand (and all over Asia): "Same, same, but different"
