Link lists not listing freesites

I think it's a reasonable topic.

I don't think you linklist guys have to jump all over his head, like he is personally insulting you or something.

Some linklists do have a hell of a backlog. Some linklists are a pain in the ass to submit to. Some linklists are, as far as can be told, defunct. Some don't send a surfer a week.

It's perfectly legitimate to say, "I'm not so happy with these linklists, does anybody else have an opinion?".

You linklist guys can be awfully damned touchy.

His choice of words was ill-advised, but who among us hasn't made that mistake?

It's hard, intimidating work figuring out the whole freesite submission thing, when you are just starting out.

And I've been doing it for many years, but I can still get exasperated by changes in ownerships, rules, and standards. I don't enjoy the process of studying and testing new linklists, either.

And I'll bet money none of the linklist owners here enjoy that process either, those that submit freesites.

So, Pendo uses poor judgement by expressing his feelings with the word "useless", when he should have thought about it for a minute and spoken more objectively. But, he's trying to share his experience and measurements with other freesite submitters, which is a legitimate topic.

And, bottom line, he is right, there are linklists where, for whatever reasons, it's best not to submit.

Figuring out the list of the best linklists is just basic freesite business.

If the topic was proposed by someone who was somewhat aware of his environment, that would have been one thing. But to produce a list with very obvious flaws with the insuation that these sites aren't updating, don't list anyone's sites, well, I think there's reason to expose the topic as flawed from the outset.

I don't think anyone would be very receptive if I created and posted a list of people here that I consider to be shitty submitters, and informed other people that, based on my own limited experience, they shouldn't list these bastards either.

Looks like you don't understand...Let's say I open up a link list...I get a lot of submiters including you...And than I get tired of that review stuff, and just forget about it.But you don't know that I forgot about it and you still submit there.You submit but it's not gonna work.You won't get any traffic from me because I don't review those freesites.Now wouldn't it be better for you to change my link list with someone's else that's actually working? i cant believe an linksite owner will think: i am not in the mood to review so i just reject them, what can be possible is the fact : if they review an couple of sites from the same person and those sites have the same mistake all the time, that they will say.oh thats harry, the guy with the same mistake everytime i wont check i just delete him.... just an example

I thought pendo was ok as far of hosting was... and didnt check whois info... dam really I hate to have to remove your sites.. but if you change hosts in the next couple days, I will leave your sites I got listed.. and really as cheap as hosting is for free sites and a few gallery submitts they should be nothing holding you back...post back in this thread if you change hosts...

Pendo is hosted with us, and pays for his hosting. What makes you think he is on free hosting?
