Look what happens when I don't pay attention for a couple days

I will be changing my recips to 2 links as soon as I can get to it. I have never penalized anyone for making custom text only recip tables or dropping one of the links in my recips. I think the custom tables look great as long as they're done right. As long as my links get the same treatment as everyone else's I'm not one to bitch

Until I can get into my script and change things around feel free to drop the bottom link from my recips.

That said, the day Google drops all the link lists is the day people start looking for free porn elsewhere. I'll change with the times, even though I think that thread at WMW is a bunch of BS, and my third link is a well targeted link to my sub-directory pages that's increased clicked and SE traffic to all my categories since I began using it about 6 months ago. If anything, this change will cost submitters traffic, IMO.

There's no real difference between a free site that has 6 recips with 3 links each and 9 recips with two links each when the bot is counting them up.

Mad Max - exactly correct - that thread over on WMW is talking about people that are running directories (not Link lists) that are scraping other directories for their content (like DMOZ for example).
And I totally agree with Google that they need to go away - there is no reason in this world for a site like that to exist - although Google does make some good money off the AdSense attached to those directories

Anyone that reacts to that type of thread to change their business plan for their own sites is insane - why mess with success
