I think more an more people are just plain out scared to turn any of that stuff on. The average user dont even know whats going on. They have a scary enough time shutting off pop ups. Give them and active x and they shit their pants thinking they have been hacked. Which in some cases could be true. I think the old addive would work best in the future in keeping it as simple as possible.

Yea, I used some flash banners on a few gay sites a couple years ago. They did pull pretty well at that time, but probably no better than a well written text link does today. I'd like to think my text has gotten better since then anyway
![]() Agree with the others, these days...probably the majority of surfers would never see em anyway. Or, they'd trigger some alarm and turn off the sale entirely. After so many sponsors wanted banners yanked a few months ago, I went text only on free sites for a while. Noticed text does pull as well if not better than banners. Just recently, I've started using banners again...primarily because it's easier than pulling the text out of my head at times ![]() Long answer sorry... Short answer is...nope, I don't really even consider using flash banners these days. Too many downsides to em. |
