Great points being born in '79 myself, while you were all getting domain names for free and making your millions hehe. I guess the point I was making, in relation to your 30's/80's blitz references -- were cabbage patch kids only shipping in quantities of 5-10 per store? Did Macy's only carry 5 Big Bird toys? Sure "The Day After" has been the biggest shopping day for a good long while, but I think they're taking it a bit far these days... or I'm getting to be an old fuddy duddy already (at a mere 26!).And yeah... I had THREE cabbage patch kids when i was a kid LOL |

And yes - they would definitely limit the numbers of certain toys to each store - although back then you also had something called rain-checks that would allow you to fill in a little form and when they got a new shipment you were guaranteed the price for that sale day - none of this new walmart-induced BS of only 5 per store at that price and thats it - of course the other factor is that back then we didnt have walmarts in very many cities - they didnt really expand till the 80s - and very few shopping malls - so everyone went to the department stores like Macys,Hechts or Sears and the crowds were amazing. |

Instead of going shopping, wives (and husbands) should all stay home and buy porn from us. This way they save gas and avoid the crowds
