seems more and more single model sites are getting more agressive in pushing there programs... probably all those cam girls who have ruined yahoo chat and others with all there BS is stepping into there own site and affiliate program... blood and money suckers who cant respect the way things should be handled..

Toby: Selena is quite right..if it is someone who is converting well for you, i'd check my sales for the last 6-12 months with them and send a reply that says.. in the last xxx months i've sent you xxx $ in sales (or number) but I cannot continue to send you traffic if you can't send me content to use. etc etc..

MOST solo site girls are pretty willing to accommodate their affiliates that have sent sales in the past.

of course there are a few who are really run by WM posing as single site girls that thing THEY are all that.

I got the email from that redheaded pantyhose model too. I did the same thing. Downloaded a few, unzipped, and deleted. Then I deleted the email. I brushed it off as just another amateur with a great body and zero knowledge of adult marketing. But reading her reply to you pisses me off. "i cant please every one....tried that once didnt work" What the fuck is that? So, I guess she's not going to bother to please anyone now, eh. Fuck her.

Solo amateur sites have been around forever - they are not the "blood & money suckers" that you refer to - a vast majority of the new "solo girl" sites that have come out in the last few years are run by big programs & are NOT amateur sites.

If I was the sponsor, I would have emailed back a url where you could download 600+ wide versions of the same set...or at least explain why I prefer not to distribute higher rez pics to my affiliates. "tried that once didn't work" -- frankly, that one of the most unprofessional responses from a sponsor I ever heard.

Actually, that is probably pretty rude, but you did say it was a small site and if the webgirl answered you herself, she may have just finished answering 10 rude fanmails, and you didn't come right out and ask directly if she could supply you with larger images. She may have taken it more as a criticism than a request.

Just another way of looking at it...people do say I am WAY to forgiving, so I wouldn't be surprised or blame you if you moved on...

Docholly, my experience with solo girl sites has been as you mentioned. Most have gone out of their way to get me anything I needed. Some have even given me a pass to their sites so I can select my own promo content from their member area galleries.

Audrey, as solo girl sites go, this one is quite large and has been around a long time. I was dealing with her husband, who manages the site and sent out the initial email this morning. I suppose he could just be having a bad day, which is why I haven't named the site.

I totally agree that the response sucked, I just also had a twinge of sympathy as a solo girl because I know it really is impossible to please everyone. Just feels like everyone wants a piece of you some days...still no excuse to be rude to the people who are supporting and promoting you.

I bet the reason that they don't send out bigger pics is that too many webmasters complained when they were putting up decent sized pics, because they had to compress/resize them...and to those webmasters, I say "Go find another 2nd job!" Resizing pics is part of making sites & this is what happens when you listen to lazy webmasters.

I wish more sponsors would stop courting webmasters that don't know wtf they're doing. They're bending over backwards to work with webmasters that basically want everything done for them.

It's getting to the point where you wonder why some sponsors even need affiliates. Sponsors supply: hosting, gallery building software, canned graphics (headers, footers, etc), content (some supply thumbnails, photos resized, etc), fhg...what's left for the affiliate to do? The only thing I see left is for the affiliate to spam the shit out of tgps, ll, etc, with all this pre-made crap.

I'm no great prize as far as sponsors go, but I can't believe someone would RESIZE a photo by making it BIGGER. That doesn't seem like an option to me. That is the kind of stuff I see affiliates do and think, "thanks for nothing". Thanks for making our content look totally crappy.

I wonder if they provided small pics is because they thought that would decrease the chances of people feeling the need to diminish the quality in order to scrimp on bandwidth. Did the content look good other than that? How much smaller than 600 pixels are we talking about?

It does seem lame that they wouldn't just give you a pass to their site to get what you need. My motto is, if I can't help you, help yourself.
