How long before I can take off recips to LL's?

Well, I guess I will put my time into more important things.

I am doing this whole FS thing as a test really... so far made 5 sites, submitted and got accepted pretty much everywhere that has checked them. Some traffic coming in and not a single sale yet. lol looks like I might be going back to blogging soon enough

I'd recommend at least getting a good hang of free sites (submit at least 30-60) before drawing conclusions

Think of LLs as your Google or Yahoo. Don't think of using the LL listings to boost your SE ranking; to pull SE traffic, blogs or anything else would be a better choice. The advantage of LL traffic is you get it immediately (instead of waiting for a few months) and you can build the traffic at a fast rate by submitting every day.

Hahahaha well I am new to free sites but can tell you for sure its gonna take a lot longer then 5 sites to get somewhere in this. I have been building my ass off the last month on free sites and have made submissions every single day and traffic is just now starting to pick up some. In my month in doing free sites I have made 2 hubs and damn near close to 100 free sites this aint gonna be something that pops up overnight

I started this project not expecting much at all for about 8 months and even at 8 months I look for it just to start making decent money and not even close to where I hope this project leads. Hell even if you were doing tgp galleries you cant expect even that to start working wonders after 5 galleries submitted, and galleries are a hell of a lot faster than free sites, I just think free sites have alot more promise in the long run. I can understand wanting to test free sites out, believe me I have. I have been a webmaster since 99' and have tried out free sites 2 or 3 times previous to this and I know exactly what I did wrong. I gave up way too early. Its one of those things where before where I did free sites a couple weeks or so and then after about 2 weeks or so I thought jesus this is a total waste of time and would give up because I only made a sign up or 2 if that in the first 2 weeks. Then many months pass and I have been noticing that over the couse of the last year or so these free sites I made ended up making some alright money for how much time I put into them. And the free sites I made back then were terrible and hardly got listed at half the places I submitted to.

My cousin (who is also an adult webmaster) did some free sites almost 3 years ago and he did the same thing I did and gave up after a few weeks, but he has a small handful of free sites that are still on his top 100 urls in his stats for his main domain. These free sites are still getting like 4-6k visitors a month and he says a couple of them send at least 1, 2 , and sometimes 3 sales a month. Now the thing you gotta do is think back to the few sites you made and gave up on and how much time it took ya to actually make those sites, then (its hard but you at least can get an idea) figure out about how much money those free sites made. Then its like wow those sites I was just starting out on and gave up after 2 weeks made me over 1000$ after just sitting there for almost 3 years. I just think how much it would be making if I had been making free sites over the last 3 years without missing a beat. For one I know I would have gotten better at them (making more $$$ per site), and I would have a gigantic amount of high quality traffic. I mean 3-4 years later my cousin has a couple sites getting over 4k/month with a mixture of LL's still having his link up and SE traffic. Maybe thats why free sites is one part of this business that doesnt seem like its been ruined by total saturation, because all the people that give up on it after not seeing much after 2 weeks. But if you look at where other parts of the business have gone and where they used to be free sites are the closest you can get to going back to the year 2000.
