Good morning world

It's Spring here too, not that you can tell any difference.

Having fun figuring out WordPress the last couple of days. Looked at other choices but that's the one I'm trying on the first blog at least. Actually seems a lot easier than I thought it would be, based on looking from the outside for too long.

GG - Why the big old antenna? Just intimidating the neighbors or will it actually be hooked up?

Morning folks,

My plane landed about 2 hours ago. Cancun was fun. Unlike my buddies I missed the webmaster gathering in "The City" when Paul Oakenfold played there but I heard it was fun
I also crossed Jay's path 3 nights ago when going to the Coco Bongo but hee seemed busy so I just walked on
To make a long story short, there was too much booze, I had to pass 3 of the 7 nights we were there, it must have been the heat I guess...

Anyway,

Have a nice day all

It's meant as a distraction. If they're looking up at that enormous antenna, perhaps they won't notice the 15' imported green marble penis statue in the sideyard.

Morning all. Kids have a half day o' school today and I get to attend their parent-teacher conferences this afternoon. Seems like a nice day to find out how my little geniuses are performing in society. I promise not to sit through this one thinking only about how unusually attractive my daughter's teacher is and fanatasizing about having that long legged devil riding my engorged member in the school parking lot. I'll do my best.

I'm I the only one completely frightened by this concept?

For me, back to school nights are a study in how quickly I can leave a room unnnoticed.

Morning all.

Good Afternoon All

Wow, what a difference a day makes! It is bright and sunny today, in the mid 60s. First day we haven't had overcast and rain either threatening or raining in a week.

Unfortunately, that much rain the desert means weeds are taking over our yard, so MadHatter and I were out digging weeds this morning. Got the front yard pretty much done, and came in to start on my daily porn. MadHatter and Loki are stilll out in the backyard digging weeds.

DocHolly, we are doing our yard a section at a time with gravel and landscape rock and a wheelbarrow. Takes a bit, but looks really nice when you are done and wow, what a workout, lol. We did little dry washes with type II gravel and river rock, then used "fines" as the main color. Here is a section we have finished. We use rocks for landscaping in the desert, lol Since we have an acre, it is taking us a long time.

Jim, good luck on the headache!

GG, maybe you can join SETI with that antenna, lol

It's the High Def geek in me

The local cable company & Fox have no agreement in place, so I can't get Fox in HD without it. Same goes for WB & UPN (until they merge) Then there's the HD feeds & normal station out of Canada that the antenna will pick up.

Throw in there that I have TiVo & thus, can't watch one program while recording another, this does eliminate that problem assuming one of the 2 shows is on the normal network channels (I can watch Desperate Housewives & record The Soprano's & then watch it right after)

It was not that expensive either - the antenna was $99 & the motor to rotate it was $79 (plus $15 for a cable)

I really should start an HD thread here in Chit Chat

Mornin' y'all,

Cool (60's) but sunny forecast here in Houston for the next few days. We'll be enjoying it while it lasts. Hot and humid aren't not to far away.

Sounds like a great idea to me. We've just joined the HD family, new 52" TV and a subscription to Dish Network. We're still on the steep part of the learning curve.

is on, help yourself.

Isn't that the part that gets ya? The fact that there is much more involved in getting set up than simply connecting a coax and grabbing the remote. My chums bought an HD tv a couple weeks back and had me come over to attach their new $18,000,000 worth of cables and it was a complete pain in my gorgeously manicured testes. I am steadfastly refusing to go HD until it really becomes worth it, which is years away from what I'm smelling. There just aren't anywhere enough channels offering an HD signal to make it a worthy investment from what I'm seeing.

In reality, it's just hooking up 5 cords from the HD receiver to the TV - not all that mind boggling.

It's when you're anal like me & you feel entitled to as many HD programs as you can get your grubby eyes to view that it becomes an issue
