Did notice this in your code "773px". That very well may be what's pushing things too close. Try dropping that by about 15 or 20 px and I'll bet that fixes it. For what it's worth, I'm seeing the scroll in Firefox with the developer extension used to instantly resize. Usually, it's pretty darned accurate ![]() |

Ok,I tried dropping it like 15 -20 px like you said Yum and when I uploaded it I was getting scrolling, so I just rearanged the recips a bit and slightly shrunk and compacted everything on the site.I downloaded firefox to check it out and it seems to be ok now.Plus i changed the colors of the red text to a dark brown. Not the best choice but hopfully a little easier on the eyes.

Hi star man yes I agree with the color thing as you build more sites your eyes will soon open up to using the right color scheme, what you can do when having some spare time is to just play with BG colors and text colors and soon you will see which ones dont go togther well... and you will see what ones hurt the eyes when looking at the site, and trust me I've seen some bad ones in my 3 years reviewing sites...

Hello Star Man.
The last three things I do before submitting are: 1. Re-check the site in Firefox. Mr Yum'll catch ya every time! ![]() 2. Re-check to ensure my photo file extensions aren't upper case. ie .JPG is bad, .jpg is good. Another MrYum special related to Firefox, which asks the user what to do with the uppercase .JPG file instead of just displaying the pic. 3. Check the site has no scroll at 800x600. I use http://www.webconfs.com/web-page-screen-resolution.php which I got from someone here on GG&J, but I can't remember who it was. Sorry to that person. Oh, and I always build inside a central table set at 740 pixels wide just to be on the safe side. Hope that helped a bit! ![]() |
