I'm curious does the US version get as 'raunchy' as the UK version. Over here it sometimes stops just short of becoming pornographic (no 'action' actually seen, but things like one contestant giving another a blowjob under the blankets happen). Most people watch it hoping to see this sort of thing. I cannot see American television getting as bad as that, but I also cannot see how the format survives more than a couple of series without that sort of thing to liven it up.

I just got an answer to my question. There was a chat/comedy show I watched a moment ago that was guest hosted by Jerry Springer. During the show he was taken to see the British Big Brother. His response to it was "I'd get arrested if I did this in America".
