Dead since 98 but I'm much better now.

Looks like it is going to be nothing but a bad storm. I'm not even planning on putting up my shutters.

Was able to avoid the long gas lines but using some of my generator fuel in my car yesterday. Plus I was able to avoid the long lines at the grocery store since I was already well stocked up in water and food.

I do expect to loose my power but I still have sixteen days worth of generator fuel so it's more of an inconvenience then anything else.

Plus I'm well stocked up in other hurricane supplies.

So far so good. We've had rain bands, one with some wind, but nothing else here yet. Everything tied down and ready as we can be.

And I'd rather be here than on Wake Island tomorrow.

Typhoon Ioke, the strongest Central Pacific hurricane in more than decade. We are getting some pretty good rain right now. According to my Weather Station, it's raining about .7 inches/hour and I already see roads starting to flood.
