Funny you should mention that. As part of my presentation to the CE advisory board, there are 2 slides dedicated to the absolute incompentency of the front line people at the big box electronic stores and how they have zero clue to anything. 83% of the repondents to our survey said that they have never had a positive experience with anyone at the store level from the manager on down. 68% said they have had to make at least 2 trips to the store to resolve issues that could have or should have been done on the spot. (like missing parts or wrong product for the application)

Will this change their hiring practices? probably not. Will this increase their training at store level? probably not. Will is satisfy the 3500+ people who responded to the survey? yes..until they have to go back to Bestbuy/compusa/ circuitcity/frys again. Oh and another little factoid from this survey that really skeeves me out. Walmart was listed as the #1 electronic store. Dumb down some more America!!
