Why's content buying such a FRUSTRATING experience?

as both a content customer, and a content provider, this is an interesting thread ... i agree with a lot of the comments about the shopping experience - many sites i have just up and left because the navigation is an absolute clusterfuck. Registering sucks, I agree moby allowing use of an AVS password is good ... but some sort of verification is required ... there is a "Communications Decency Act" which could place those not checking age/verifying that registrant is a webmaster in danger.

"It is a defense to a prosecution .... that a person ... has taken, in good faith, reasonable, effective, and appropriate actions under the circumstances to restrict or prevent access by minors to a communication specified in such subsections, which may involve any appropriate measures to restrict minors from such communications, including any method which is feasible under available technology ..."

47 U.S.C. 223 (amended) subsections A and D under section 502

This is why i require registration ... Very informative thread though to content providers...
