I have a TGP at Dreamhost. Actually, I set one up a few months ago, and haven't really done anything with it. Just loaded up the scripts and filled it with some hosted galleries. I'm not crazy about the speed. It seems to take a while for the thumbs to come up. You can check it out here:

Support is ok. At best it takes them 90min to respond. At worst it takes a day. Average seems to be around 2-3 hours. Some of their plans allow you to get a few callbacks each month.

I haven't had any real problems with downtime. Sometimes there's a problem with one of the servers, but those don't last more than a few hours. I haven't experienced any major meltdowns (half a day or longer).

Personally, I think Dreamhost is great for basic stuff like freesites and galleries. But if you're doing something that requires blazing servers and fast personal support, you'll need to pay for a better host.
