Tables in Firefox

Hey guys need your help here. I build my sites with tables since I suck @ css but I'm having some serious trouble with Firefox while they work fine with IE7.

I build this freesite and it looks perfect but I UW (thanks man) pointed out to me that its pretty fucked up in Firefox. It seems that Firefox is just ignoring the table background colors.

I wonder if anyone has an idea how to fix this since im pretty clueless.

Damn alternative browsers causing nothing but trouble

Any help is appreciated,
Thomas

Hi Tvduijn.
You're missing a hash (#) before the hex value for the table.
Seems IE is okay with that but Firefox doesn't like it.

Happy to help. It's easier to spot mistakes if I've made them loads of times myself.

Might also want to adjust your BODY tag attributes so that you don't have #000000 spec'd for everything in case all else fails in someone's browser. Black on black can be a little hard to read.

Here's a good tool to use for tracking down such errors...

http://validator.w3.org/

IE is much more forgiving of invalid HTML than most other browsers, so always best to check your work in both IE and FireFox.
