Just curious since i've never used Joomla before but what advantages would it have over using wordpress?

I agree on using a tgp or link list script, but I want one that would display the links directly on the main page like LOR has, not just categories. But also that is free or bloody close to it Not that rich yet lol

Damn, I stuck my foot right into this one didn't I!

WordPress is a stripped down version of a CMS that really has focused on the blogging aspect of a CMS. Joomla is a full blown content management system.

You have more control over what goes to the front page, it has a news reader (RSS aggregator) built in, etc.etc.etc.

I haven't visited LOR in years so I really don't remember how it's setup but most script's templates can be manipulated to output the information pretty much any way you want to.

E-Syncicate has a free version. ADP is another script that looks interesting and is free
