Sounds like the fan in your Mac mini is going bad. Very easy to replace and cheap too but you do want to replace it before it stops working all together and you Mac mini overheats.
So is it the fan? It is very loud at times.. you are a gem, thanks a million. The funny thing is that there is a tiny software, iFreeMem, $8 see http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/24279 and I when I am running it, the voices stop talking to me
