Which is the best stradegy...

People have been arguing about that for years. Way back, on greenys first board, I said it only made sense to submit to the top traffic sources, because 95% of your sales will come from them - I nearly got burned at the stake by all the smaller linklist owners.

Those statistics are still mostly true - but there's no reason not to submit to a larger group of linklists. In effect, build a submitting relationship with a group of linklists that list you reliably, that you have come to trust.

It's fine to submit regularly to the same linklists - but, they will like you more if you submit across a spectrum of niches. They don't want a niche page overwhelmed with sites from one webmaster.

I think submitting to an "extra" group or two is a good way to sniff out traffic sources, even if it is only occasionally. It's always nice to get a pleasant surprise few have discovered yet.
