Short answer is - No.
Just linking to the bigger linklists will not directly increase your rank or boost your PR. That said, there could/would be some improvment in relevance possibly for your site if you had links to authoritative sites - eg the bigger well ranked LLs. Dont hide anything tho... make it clear for all to see.  DD
