The fact that it occurred 2 days after his last activity on the board makes me think he went on vacation, got hit with hotlinking or something and probably doesn't know. Things like this tend to happen when people take vacations -- whether announced or unannounced.

And your server knows the instant you're not around....

What is a vacation? I looked the word up on Dictionary.com and it said that a vacation was a period of time when you don't do any work. Does such a thing really exist?
