If you were to move where would it be?
So my wife and I are thinking about moving out of Michigan. If you were to pack up and move, where in the U.S. would you move? What cities did you visit you were just in love with?
My wife was talking about Seattle the other night, but neither of us have ever been there. |

I'm Canadian so my options are limited but if I was American it would be somewhere where it doesn't snow. Florida and Arizona come to mind but as long as there's no snow I'm in, lol.

I wear shorts all year and have been known to wear them when visiting Canada in the winter
![]() I live in the Los Angeles area but would not recommend that. San Diego, Santa Barbara areas are really nice with a lot less smog and nice coastal driving roads. Nothing nicer then it being December (as in my pic) and cruising along the coast with the convertible top down ![]() |

Whatever you do, be sure to pick a liberal community that is adult friendly.

If I had to live in the U.S. I'd pick Harrisburg PA. Beautiful small city with very friendly people.
If I wasn't restricted to the US I'd pick Palau or one of the Greek islands.

In as much as I like the warmth, I think I would need to live in a city with history and character. I find places like, say, Orlando or Phoenix, a little too modern and suburban for me. Seattle WA or Portland OR would be nice. I'll go with Seattle.

If I had to move. I'd probably move to LA, Hawaii, Florida, Arizona, or the only place that I'd go where it gets cold is Chicago. Every time I've visited there I have just loved it. Granted it's been when it's not cold. I think due to how just amazing the city is I could put up with the cold.

There's a lot of cool places in FL. Too far south and it's too hot, but somewhere along the northern east coast is nice. Last time I was in Jacksonville I was impressed. Not really a beach town, but close enough to the beach you can enjoy without sand everywhere.
If you do like the beach, the southern coast of AL is very nice. Me personally, it would be New Orleans. It just fits me, but it's not for everyone, and my wife would never want to live there. |

I moved to Texas 26 years ago from the Chicago area. No state income tax and the cost of housing is about half.

Orange County Calif. The beaches are really nice and for the most part people are mellow.
LA is pretty tough, I had to thicken my skin a little around here. There's a lot of porn parties and industry work though. However it's no place to raise kids so I'm moving back to OC in a few years.

It is better to watch things then to do them

I spent two weeks in Toronto, over Xmas, and I thought it was an awesome place even with all the snow. I have lived outside Vegas and all around the northwest and I wouldn't chose to live anywhere but the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Everything a person could want is within an hour, ocean, mountains, skiing, fishing, etc.
