How do you choose your domain names?

I went on a domain buying spree and got about 20 domains last night some are dropped/deleted domains some are new.

I tried to keep them to two or three keywords related to the niche of the sites I was going to build on them. I checked most of the names on google trends and they showed up on the chart. (Thats good I guess lol)

I still have some link list, top site, tube and TGP scripts I need to use, but for the most part they will all end up as wordpress blogs.

I think I have 34 domains in all now. My host is suppose to be giving me a new IP address to host my new ones on. I read somewhere that it isnt good to host too many domains on one IP address linking to each other.

Anyways I was wondering how everyone else chooses their domain names.

Same way you just did. If I like the domain I get it. I look for domains with good keywords I'd want if it's possible. And yes separate IPs is a good idea.

Agreed, if it sounds OK to you and works in with what the project or niche is than BINGO!

Thanks for the replies I was just wondering if my method was ok. Some of these sites want you to pay for a membership to search the deleted domains that have page ranks, and backlinks.

Would it be worth paying for one of those memberships to try and find domains that have more traffic?

I agree. The way you did it is the way I do it as well.

I wouldnt waste my money on those memberships. You can do the work yourself by using google, alexa and other sites.
