Oh! I haven't changed since high school and suddenly I am uncool
|
I got my bachelors degree from the School of Hard Knocks, and did undergraduate studies at UCLA (University at the Corner of Lennox & Amsterdam)
- I would recommend formal training or night classes to anyone in this field, myself included... ![]() - Particularly with respect to design or acquiring programming skills.. |

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
|
I have two degrees, a Bachelors in Accounting and a Bachelors in Information and Computer Systems. Unfortunately, I got them in 92, before the internet really was available.
What they did do though was give me the basics in coding. We studied Basic, COBOL, Pascal, and Fortran. None of which I used after I graduated, but I can look at PHP code, and follow it because of that base. I can also modify it. And if I lived where I could go back to school and take a class in php coding, I would. It also opened doors in the mundane world to jobs because of the degree, I wouldn't have otherwise had. When I lived briefly in California, I saw kids that knew how to program JAVA pulling in a lot of money too.
