I'm by no means an expert in nuclear power, and my country is responsible for a fair amount of natural atrocities that I have no control over (mining, burning coal, not to mention exporting uranium), but I watched a documentary a few months ago outlining the benefits of nuclear fusion, which sounds like a much cleaner energy source than fission, that has if I remember correctly no waste and an unheard of efficency ratio.

If you don't mind me asking Linkster, why isn't more money being spent on researching other types of nuclear power, rather than trying to fix a shit one, for lack of a better word. This is of course, based on my very limited knowledge on the subject.
