I was audited some years back, because of some crap I had when $4k worth of checks were stolen from my mailbox, and I listed it as a loss without including enough paper support for it.

Auditing is a hassle - I came out of it okay, but did have to pay some extra - about 1k lol nut no penalties- but what a fucking hassle.

Fucking doctors!
