I've been watching a party going on, contemplating a few things, working on some IOS code with the Tour de France on in the background. Originally, I thought not having network TV (ABC/CBS/NBC) would be a problem, but, it turns out, they are only broadcasting the Tour online (for $30).

A few around the house chores, washing an old bike of mine to prep for sale and a bunch more work on the table today.

I haven't had network TV in so long. Jim watches any news he wants to right on their websites, and I watch Netflix for older shows. I just realized this month makes 3 years+ since we have had DirectTV. They still send us "come back" letters almost weekly.

I ended up watching a BBC feed, but, I think the NBC coverage would have been better. It wasn't worth $30 to me for the few minutes I would actually have time to watch.

I suspect soon, Google's set top boxes will start to encroach on normal providers and the only thing that will keep subscribers is creating content people are willing to pay for. Wow that sounds familiar.
