Today I am mostly trying to remember who posted a YouTube video of The Safety Dance a couple of weeks back. And when I remember, I will kill them.
I had not thought of that song since it was first released. But today, for no good reason I can think of, the damn thing is going through my head. And (also for no good reason I can think of) my subconscious keeps replacing the word "dance" with the word "fart". So what keeps going through my head is: We can fart if we want to, We can leave your friends behind. 'Cause your friends don't fart, and if they don't fart, well, they're no friends of mine! ![]() The puppy gets three times as much food as the husky, so the husky finishes his food long before the puppy. The husky also gets some arthritis medicine which has to be squirted into his mouth after breakfast. He hates it, but unlike the puppy and his "no more nails" medicine, the husky does at least grudgingly let me give it to him. This morning I made the mistake of thinking "I know, I'll give the husky his medicine while waiting for the puppy to finish his food." Not a good idea, the puppy saw me feeding the husky his medicine and assumed he would be next, so left his breakfast half finished and shot downstairs to hide. The husky obediently took his medicine, then strolled over to the puppy's bowl and nonchalantly finished up the puppy's breakfast. And the worst of it (from the puppy's point of view) is that I gave the puppy the last of his medicine yesterday, he lost half his breakfast for no reason! |

Unfair to cats!
When I was a kid, my paternal grandmother had a flat in our house. When she went into hospital (permanently) we took over looking after her cat, The cat still lived in my Grandmother's flat, and had it to herself for the rest of her life. We went in to feed her, and she had to walk through the house to get to the cat flap to go outside, but that was all the interaction she had with us. Apart from that the cat had her own apartment that she lived in, separate from the family. When we went away on holiday our neighbour came in to feed the cat. But despite the fact that we never really interacted when home, the cat sulked when we were away. And when we came back the cat would go out, sit at the end of the garden, carefully picking the furthest spot that could be seen from the house, and sat bolt upright with her back to the house for an entire day, just to show us what she thought about us for leaving her temporarily!
