It's still morning for another 10 minutes here so... good morning.
![]() A doc appt for me as well, well... chiropractor. You know how those guys all want to be referred to as "doctors"... yeah. Anyway it went well. Now it's sit down at the computer and do some actual work time. I have a writing order to finish up today, and as it's one of those perfect summer days outside -- perfect temp, perfect sun, light breeze... well, I won't rush the writing but damn... it's one of those days you feel shame if you don't go for a spin on the mountain bike or something. City is tearing up the front street all this week, making a hell of a racket and I just don't honestly care. It's just too great a day for negativity. Have a good one all.

Of course, that was back in the olden days before these new fangled things like word processors. Back then we had to write our novels with a thing called "pen and paper". ![]() Just got home and - oh goody - the idiot is working on the back garden today. That should look like shit by tomorrow too! Suppose I should be glad he did not napalm my bedroom while I was out! I tried talking to him. You know that thing about "a really smart dog has a higher IQ than a really stupid human"? Well a really stupid dog has a higher IQ than this idiot! Seriously, I get more sense talking to the puppy. Speaking of whom: ![]() Anyway the steps are really old, probably go back to before Columbus found somewhere we could dump all our excess tea! And they are about to have a bit of renovation done on them. They appear to have been cleaning the weed and algae off the steps with a pressure hose prior to starting masonry work. When we got there the workmen had gone to lunch leaving the hosepipe running from a building, along the path, and ending in an untidy coil at the top of the steps. It was a long yellow hose with a green diamond pattern along it's length. As we turned the corner and the puppy saw the hosepipe, he backed away out of sight of the hose, and crouched down. He then refused to go anywhere near it. I'm guessing he was thinking "I'm not going round that corner, there is a really big snake there. It looks like a yellow diamondback, and it is really, really, really, long. Well long enough to crush and eat a helpless puppy like me, I'm staying here!" |
