Not pressing charges in situations like that is merely enabling him to do it again and again and again. It's not doing him any favors either. In fact, pressing charges may save the idiot's life. The next person he tries to pull this crap on may just kill him. Scary part - if he gets away with all that, is domestic abuse - physical or mental - next? Run girl, run. Get as far away from that POS as you can. You can pay the bills off and replace what he stole but you can't replace your peace of mind and personal security. RUN!!
